Dear Friends of the
North Quabbin Community Coalition:
It’s that
time of year! Time to ask for your help in supporting the work of the North
Quabbin Community Coalition. Your support is critical in maintaining the
efforts that have helped to improve the quality of life for North Quabbin
residents for over 23 years. Some of the functions of the North Quabbin
Community Coalition include:
 | Advocating for
resources to benefit the whole community. |
| Managing a
web-based resource guide for local resources as well as publishing a
print version. |
| Managing a
Volunteer Physician Network for area uninsured residents. |
| Educating the
community around Child Sexual Abuse Prevention, Violence Prevention, and
other health and human service issues. |
| Coordinating
efforts to ensure cost-effective response to community needs. |
| Hosting
community-wide events to raise awareness of issues that impact the
quality of life like the annual Dental Fair and the North Quabbin Week
Out Against Crime. |
| Working to
promote economic development for the region. |
| Acting as the
western Mass. hub for the Enough Abuse child sexual abuse prevention
initiative. |
| Hosting a
regional sex offender management coordinator in partnership with local
law enforcement to promote community safety. |
| Disseminating
information across the community via the monthly newsletter. |
| Working to
provide local agencies, municipalities and residents with resources and
information. |
